Well after a difficult year so far and construction stopping for Covid 19, the extension at RRMC is nearly finished. The project had many difficult constraints ie infilling between two existing buildings, maintaining production, pandemic…but is nearly finished. Alpha Design Ltd were apponted as Principal Designers and provided Architectural, Structural, M and E designs for the project. The ground floor is production space and the first floor offers more administration, wcs and plant space. A new fire rated glass screen has been installed to allow some natural daylight into the space. The only external wall matches the existing cladding by cleaver reuse of the existing so you cant even see the join. The roof is a green roof to match the existing building. Just a few snags and some minor works to finish but basically its all there.. Well done Axis House, Ward Air Ltd , IDS Electrical Ltd and Richmond Fire Ltd .
